"A business woman looks confident after cosmetic plastic surgery"

Confident business woman

Far from being an exercise in idle vanity, self-confidence always increases when a person chooses to rejuvenate a disliked body or facial feature via cosmetic plastic surgery.

One career woman hated her nose and did everything in her power to make it less noticeable. She wore baseball hats, let her hair hang down over her face and even arranged her office lighting and moved her desk so her profile didn’t quickly show to others.

Recently read on the Oprah Show, a Wall Street investment banker revealed though an anonymous letter what cosmetic plastic surgery did, not only for her ego and self-confidence, but her career.

In addition to some body rejuvenation like breast augmentation, the banker over the course of 31 years had:

She had her first cosmetic plastic surgery at age 24, after a divorce.

Her motivation was for a pick-me-up after the breakup and preparation for dating again.

But good things happened at work before a new beau appeared. Wrote the banker to Oprah: “…my career instantly shifted into a higher gear. I was suddenly being courted by senior partners and included in meetings with top executives and current and prospective customers.”

She realized she was still the same person with the same skills as before the surgeries. But besides always having been really good at her job, she now looked like “a bombshell.”

It dawned on her that cosmetic plastic surgery in the workplace is an asset and an investment.

“In the world of finance, it is very important to allocate adequate resources to asset maintenance,” she said.  “That’s what I was really doing with surgery – maintaining my assets.”

But the banker did not develop a huge ego. “I did get a new level of confidence with my killer looks,” she wrote. “The way men reacted to me after my first surgery was the same way I thought people would treat me if I had suddenly become famous. So it was clear those reactions had nothing to do with who I really am.

“Now, I’m not as vulnerable as I was before the cosmetic plastic surgeries and I’m more careful about who I choose to be with – I choose people who love me just for me.”
